If you or a member of your family have suffered a non-severe sprain (overstretching/tearing ligaments) or a strain (an injury to a muscle or tendon), go straight to your home homeopathic pharmacy and reach for the following remedies.
Always go straight to Arnica. Obviously, if you have done yourself some serious harm, you will need medical attention, but even so, taking Arnica on your way to the minor injuries department will kick start the healing process. For non-severe injuries, it may well be all you need.
If the pain is very deep in the soft tissue and there’s still soreness and bruising remaining after Arnica, go to Bellis Perennis, which is like a deeper acting Arnica.
If, after Arnica, you are left with the kind of pain that means you do not want to move a muscle as any movement causes sharp pain, go to Bryonia. Movement is such a no-no when you are in a Bryonia state that you will want to lie on the affected area to prevent anything budging. Bryonia is also your remedy if the affected area is red and swollen and makes you feel like a bear with a sore head.
If, on the other hand, the pain you experience feels worse when you first start to move but then eases as you carry on moving, think of Rhus Tox. This will make you feel restless as you know that if you stop moving, the pain will increase. Rhus Tox will be your remedy if you want to apply heat to the affected area.
Finally, if the pain is more serious, or if you are experiencing an RSI, think of Ruta Grav. Ruta Grav is very likely to be your remedy if the area is sore, aches and if there are shooting pains on movement.
I hope this is helpful. Please feel free to get in touch for more information.
