Finding out your child has worms is about as much fun as discovering they have head lice. Help is at hand as ever though, with homeopathy.
The most successful way to approach this is to treat the whole family as these critters are great at affecting everyone in the household.
Firstly, give Natrum Phosphate 6x daily (1-3 doses). This remedy neutralises the acidity in the gut that worms love so much.
In addition, give Cina 30c if your child has the classic itchy nose and bottom and is irritable with these symptoms. Give Teucrium 30c if they have the itchiness and are extremely restless with their symptoms. Give the more appropriate remedy for 10 days on and then 10 days off in repetition for 3 cycles.
On top of the remedies, make sure the whole family are being really careful to wash their hands after going to the toilet.
Mix a few drops of tea tree oil to a natural cream that you have in the house and apply it to your child’s anus every evening to deter the worms from laying eggs in that area.
Foodwise, take out or reduce as much as possible your child’s intake of sugar and milk, which the worms will feed off. Encourage your child to eat the following, which will either be toxic to the worms or help expel them:
Raw carrots, apples, turnips, raw onion, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, raw garlic.
