Ledum
This is homeopathy's number one remedy for puncture wounds and helps the body eject the toxins. The affected part will also be swollen, though not as puffy as with Apis. The characteristic colour with Ledum swellings are purplish, and the affected area will feel cool or cold, but nevertheless you'll want to put cool things on the area.
Belladonna
Belladonna suits the situation if the affected area is hot, red and throbs with the pain.
Hypericum
Hypericum, or St John's Wort, is best suited when the pain from the site of the bite or sting is shooting, and especially if it shoots along nerves.
